Cylinder Boring Precaution
593 Engine
In its stock configuration, the RAVE valve guillo-
tine has a minimum of 0.5 mm (.020 in) clearance
to the cylinder bore measured at the center line
of the cylinder. This is the minimum production
clearance.
ASSEMBLY
RAVE Valves
Apply sealing compound Drei Bond (P/N 420 297
906) in the groove of valve base and in the piston
valve groove, then install bellows.
Install RAVE valve with its mention top as illustrat-
ed in the following photo.

Tighten red cap screw no. 28 to bottom.
Piston
When installing a new cageless bearing, replace
half plastic cages with sleeve.
NOTE: Cageless bearing contains 28 needles on
all engines.
