Ques tion 9: Why cannot I us e the I DE 2?
Answ er: Please refer to the user manual and check whet her you have connec ted any cable t hat is not
provided w ith the motherboard package to the USB Over Current pin in the Front USB Panel. If the cable
is y our own cable, pleas e rem ov e it from t his pin and do not connect any of your own cables to it.

do t hese beeps usually st and f or?
Answer: The beep codes below may help you ident ify the possible com put er problems. However,
they are only f or referenc e purposes. The situations might dif fer from case to c as e.
gAMI BIOS Beep Codes

Computer gives 1 short beep when system boots successfully.
*Ex cept for beep code 8, these codes are alw ays fatal.
1 beep Refresh f ailure
2 beeps Parity error
3 beeps Base 64K m em ory failure
4 beeps Timer not operational
5 beeps Proc es sor error
6 beeps 8042 - gate A20 failure
7 beeps Proc essor exc eption int errupt error
8 beeps Display m em ory read/writ e failure
9 beeps ROM chec ks um error
10 beeps C MOS shut down regist er read/write error
11 beeps Cache memory bad
Question 11:For the M/B which have RAID function, how to set in the BIOS in order to bootup from IDE3,
4 by either RAID or ATA m ode?
Ans wer: Please set in the BIOS as follow:
1. Adv anced BIOS feat ures -->(SATA)/R AID /SCSI boot order: " SATA"
2. Advanced BIOS features--> First boot device: "SC SI"
3. Integrated Peripherals--> Onboard H/W ATA/ RAID: " enable"
Then it depends on the R AID mode that y ou need to set "R AI D" to R AID m ode or "ATA" to normal ATA
mode in the item named RAI D controller funct ion.

Ans wer: Please set in the BIOS as follow:

Then it depends on t he m ode(R AID or ATA) that y ou need to set in R AID / SCSI BIOS.
