4-1 Unique Software Utility
4-1-1 Xpress Recovery Introduction
What is Xpress Recover y ?
Xpress Rec overy is a utilit y used to back up and restore an OS
partition. I f t he hard driv e is not working properly, then users c an
rest ore the drive t o it s original state.
1. Supports FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS f ormats
2. M ust be connected to the IDE1 M aster
3. Allows ins tallat ion of only one OS
4. M ust be used wit h an I DE hard disk support ing HPA
5. The first partition must be set as the boot partition. When t he boot partition is backed up,
please do not alter it s s ize.
6. Xpress R ec overy is recommended when you use Ghos t t o ret urn boot manager to
NTF S f ormat.
How to use the Xpress Recovery
1. Boot from CD-ROM (BMP Mode)
Enter the BIOS menu, select " Advanc ed BIOS Feature" and set t o boot from CD-R OM. Ins ert the
provided driver CD into your CD driv e, then save and exit the BI OS menu. Onc e the comput er has
restart ed, the phrase " Boot from CD: " will appear at the bottom left -hand corner of the screen. When
"Boot from CD:" appears, press any k ey to enter Xpres s R ecovery .
Once you have c om pleted t his s tep, s ubsequent acces s to Xpress Recovery can also function by
pressing t he F9 key during computer power on.
