System Selection
The System menu (
Menu-
5) allows you to modify how
your phone will work when you are outside of your
primary or “home” system. How your phone will handle
being out of your home area can significantly affect the
types and amounts of additional charges you may incu r.
Service Types

Roaming
Ro am in g is a term u sed to in d ic a te th a t yo u r p h o n e is n o t
in its home area. When you place or r eceive calls while
ro a ming , y o u a re ac tually u sing a n o th e r s erv ic e p ro v id e r’s
system to complete your call. Therefore, calls made or
received while roaming are usually more expensive th an
calls made in your home area.

System choices
Your phone will auto matically attempt calls using a
preferred system. I f your phone fails to find a pr eferr ed
system, then it will use the selection you have chosen
with this feature.
