Han ds-free car installation
When your phone is pla ced in the cradle, it will
switch on automa tically with the car ig nition. You
can se lect whethe r you want the telephone to
switch off automa tically with the car ig nition afte r
a delay of 1 hour or whe ther you want to switch it
off manually.
If you have sele cted
Switch off automatically
and wa nt to switch your te lephone off while the
ignition is still on, you must do so manually.
The display and ke ypad ba cklighting on your
phone will switch on and off a utomatically with
the car ignition. While the phone is switched on
and pla ced in the cradle the backlighting will
remain on continuously.
The ba ttery will be a utomatica lly recha rg ed a s
necessary.
A tele phone with an e xtende d batte ry cannot be
used in the ha nds-free car installa tion kit.
Ho w to make a hands-free call
1. Enter the phone numbe r you wish to
call or retrieve it from the phone book.
2. Press
CALL
to let the conversation ta ke
place via the exte rnal spea ker and
microphone.
3. Press
END
to end your call.
Ho w to receive a hands-free call
1. Press
ANSWER
when the phone rings.
2. Press
END
to end your call.
By se lecting
Car kit auto answer on
you can se t your telephone to a nswer a call auto-
matica lly after 5 seconds. T his option is only ef-
fective when the car ignition is on.
If you have sele cted
Any key answer on
in the
Phone setup
menu you can, of course,
answer the call by pressing any ke y.
