Send message se tup
Before you can se nd a me ssag e you have to ente r
your network ope rator's te lephone number for
this special service . Conta ct your network opera -
tor to obtain this number.

Message setup

and confirm by pre ssing

Send message setup
4. Select
Service centre
5. Confirm by pressing
SELECT
6. Enter the SMS ope rator te lephone number.
Reme mber to a dd "+" and national code
before the number.
7. Press
OK
The numbe r will a utomatically be used for se n-
ding a ll future messa ges.
Having stored a service centre number you have
the option of a dding a new service ce ntre, de le-
ting a service ce ntre or e diting the numbe r of an
existing service ce ntre by pre ssing and con-
firm your choice by pressing
OK
.
The option of storing more tha n one service cen-
tre number ma y not be a vailable with all SIM
cards.
If for some re ason your messag e cannot be deliv-
ered, it will re main with your SMS opera tor for a
period of time specified by you unde r

want to send it to a nother mobile te lephone.
For messa ges that ha ve to be sent via several
service ce ntres to re ach the recipient, some ne t-
works offe r the fe ature of sending a reply, if any,
back to you through the same chain of service
centres. To keep this possibility open, you must
enter the
Send Me ssage Setup
option and sele ct

Broa dcast setup
To set up the list cove ring the kind of information
you wish to rece ive, sele ct the option
Broadcast channels
. The display will
show you va rious loca tions in which you can
store the individua l channe ls. Pre ssing
EDIT
will
give you a ra nge of differe nt kinds of information.
Use to scroll through the possibilities and
confirm your choice by pressing
SELECT
. The
selecte d kind of information is now store d in the
channel list. Proce ed in the same way if you want
to receive othe r kinds of information.
Some network opera tors offer ce ll broadcast mes-
sag es in diffe rent lang uage s. Se lect the option
Broadcast language
and confirm your
choice by pre ssing
OK
.
You ca n select whethe r you want the cell broad-
cast option to be on or off by sele cting
Broadcast setting
and using to
select whether the function should be on or off.
