Send message setup
Before you can send a message you have to enter
your network operator's te lephone number for
this spe cial service. C ontact your network opera -
tor to obtain this numbe r.

6. Enter the SMS opera tor telephone number.
Remembe r to add " +" and nationa l code
before the number.

The numbe r will a utomatically be use d for sen-
ding all future message s.
Ha ving stored a service ce ntre number you have
the option of adding a ne w service centre , dele-
ting a service centre or editing the number of an
existing service ce ntre by pressing and con-
firm your choice by pre ssing
OK
.
The option of storing more than one service cen-
tre number ma y not be availa ble with all SIM
cards.
If for some rea son your message cannot be deliv-
ered, it will re main with your SMS ope rator for a
period of time specifie d by you under
Validity
period
.

For messa ges that have to be sent via several
service centre s to reach the re cipient, some net-
works offe r the feature of se nding a re ply, if any,
back to you through the same chain of service
centres. To ke ep this possibility open, you must
enter the
Send Messa ge Setup
option a nd select
Reply path on
.
Broadcast setu p
To set up the list covering the kind of informa tion
you wish to rece ive, select the option
Broadcast channels
. The display will
show you va rious loca tions in which you can
store the individua l channels. Pre ssing
EDIT
will
give you a ra nge of diffe rent kinds of informa tion.
Use to scroll through the possibilitie s and
confirm your choice by pre ssing
SELECT
. The
selected kind of information is now store d in the
channel list. Proce ed in the sa me way if you want
to receive othe r kinds of informa tion.
Some network opera tors offer cell broadca st mes-
sage s in diffe rent lang uages. Select the option
Broadcast language
and confirm your
choice by pressing
OK
.
You ca n select whethe r you want the ce ll broad-
cast option to be on or off by se lecting
Broadcast setting
and using to
select whether the function should be on or off.
