Ice trays

The fac t that the y a re situated on the top part of the fre ez er
drawers ensures greater ergonomics and cleanliness and
le av e s more room fre e ins ide the dra we rs : the ic e no longe r
comes into contact with the food placed inside the freez er
c ompartment; furthermore, the dripping of the water during
filling is a voided ( a lid to cov er up the hole afte r filling with
wa ter is a lso provided) .
Instructions for use (Fig. 5)
Fill up the tray with wa te r via the spe cia l hole up to the le ve l
indicat ed (M AX WATER LEVEL), t aking care not t o exceed
it : insert ing more w at er t han is necessary w ill lead t o the
formation of ice which could obstruct the exit of t he ice
cubes.
If you have used an excessive amount of water, you will
have t o w ait until t he ice has melt ed, empt y out t he t ray
and re-fill it with water.
O nc e you ha v e fille d the ic e tra y up with wa te r through the
hole indicated, turn it by 90 °. Thanks to the connected
compart ment s, t he w at er fills up t he special shapes, af t er
which you can cover the hole up with the special cap and
place the ice tray in the inner door of the freezer
compartment.
O nce the ice has forme d, a ll you ne ed to do is to knoc k the
tra y aga inst a ha rd surfac e so that the ic e c ubes c ome a wa y
from the ir housing a nd come out of the same hole used to
fill the tra y with wa te r . To ma ke it ea sie r for the ice c ubes to
come out, wet the outside of the tray.
WARNING: every t ime you f ill up the ice tray w ith w at er ,
ma ke sure tha t the sa me is comple te ly e mpty and that the re
are no traces of ice left inside it.
The minimum time required for ice to form well is
approxima tely 8 hours.

How to use the freezer compartment...
- For the preparation of food to be frozen, please con-
sult a specialized manual.
- Food tha t ha s be e n tha we d, e v en pa rtia lly, must not be re -
frozen: you must cook it in order to consume it (within 24
hours) or to freeze it once again.
- Fresh foods that you intend to freeze must not be placed
in contact with those that are already frozen or those t hat
have been fast-frozen. Rather, they must be placed on the
grid in t he freezer compartment, in contact wit h the w alls
of the compa rtme nt ( bac k or side ) if pos sible . Ple ase kee p in
mind that proper conservation of frozen foods depends on
the speed with which they are frozen.
- D uring the fre e zing proc e ss, a void ope ning the door of the
fre e ze r .
- The maximum da ily quantity of food that can be frozen is
indicated on the rating plate located to the left of the veg-
etable crisper.
- In order to freeze and then thaw foods optimally, it is rec -
ommende d tha t you div ide food into sma ll portions so that
they freeze quickly and uniformly. The packages should be
clearly marked with the content and the date they were
frozen.
- Do not open the freezer door in the event of a power
f ailure or malfunction. This precaution will slow t he rise in
temperature within the compartment. If the door is not
opened, frozen and fast-frozen foods will remain in their
current sta te for approximately 9-14 hours.
- Do not place f ull bot t les in t he f reezer: t hey could easily
burst bec ause a ll liquids inc rease in volume whe n they fre eze.
- If the ambient temperature remains below 14°C for an
extended period of t ime, t he temperature needed for ex-
t ended st orage of food in t he f reezer will not be reached,
resulting in reduce d stora ge life of the food.
