Maintenance and care
‚" Check your batteries regularly, old or discharged batteries should be replaced. If the unit is not going to be used for some time
or is being run exclusively on the alternative power, remove the batteries to avoid leakage and damage.
‚" Electronic pro ducts of this kind should never be subjected to moisture or extreme temperat ures.
‚" If necessary, clean the unit with a piece of cloth dampened with water only (be sure the AC power cord is disconnected from
t he power supply).
‚" The heads and capstan are in const ant co nt act wit h the mo ving tape. Use a small cot t o n bud wit h alco hol or special t ape head cleaner
t o clean these parts. Never to uch the heads with anything metallic.
Erase protection
‚" To prevent accidental erasing of a cassett e, simply break off the t wo plastic t abs located on t he cassette tape’s rear side.
‚" When a cassette with removed plast ic t abs is inserted, the recording butt on cannot be pressed.
‚" If a cassette is t o be erased and r e-r eco rded at a lat er st age, simply cover t he ho les on the cassett e where the tabs were remo ved, with
a piece of strong adhesive tape.
CD protection
‚" When pick up t he CD disc, always hold t he edge o f t he disc, never to uch the surface o f the disc, it wo uld scrat ch t he disc surface and
may o ccur sound dist ortion or raise reading pro blem.
