4. Do not place this appliance near any sources of moisture such as another
oven, stove, or sink as this may damage the appliance.
5. Whenever the unit is plugged into the 230 VAC mains supply, the
pause/cancel button must be pressed prior to use in order to set the
programming system.
3) SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1 This microwave has been designed and manufactured for cooking and
defrosting purposes only.
2 Do not leave the oven running when empty as this can damage the appliance.
Tip: Always leave a cup of water in your microwave when not in use, to protect
against damage if you accidentally start your microwave oven.
3. The oven is designed not to work with the door open. Always ensure that the
door is kept closed and that the door latch is kept in clean and good working
order. Never put any object into the latch holes.
4. Do not attempt to dry wet clothes, news papers or similar items in your
microwave, as they may catch fire.
5. Do not use metallic items such as metal pits, opened tins and metal
cookware, when using the microwave function, as this will damage your
microwave oven.
6. Do not hit or strike the control panel.
Do not use the oven until you have the glass turntable and roller ring in place.
7. Always use protection such as oven gloves when removing food from the
oven.
8. Do not open the door in the event of smoke or a fire starting inside the oven or
if soup for example is spilling over. If any of these situations occur turn off the
microwave, and isolate the power.
9. Do not immerse the plug in water and protect from heat. Do not change its
protective sleeve.
10. The top and back covers of your microwave can become hot when using the
grill or convection oven functions. To avoid injury do not touch and ensure
young children are not allowed near the oven when using these functions.
11. High voltage components are used in this appliance. Do not attempt to open
the outer cover for any reason.
12. Children should only use this appliance under adult supervision.
13. If the electrical cable becomes damaged, contact a qualified engineer to carry
out the repair/replacement.
14. If the door seals and adjacent parts are damaged, the microwave oven must
not be operated until a qualified service technician has repaired it.
15. It is dangerous for anyone other than a qualified service technician to attempt to
service or repair the oven.
16. Before use, always check the suitability of the utensils you plan to use, see
section 5.
17. Closely monitor the oven when cooking foodstuffs that have been packaged in
combustible materials.
