PHONE SETUP
This me nu offers you the possibility of setting some
of the te lephone 's options according to your own
persona l wishes.

La ngua ge selec tion
The displa y lang uage of your phone is norma lly
the na tional la nguag e of the country in which you
purchased your SIM card. If this is not the ca se the
display languag e will be English. You have the
option of choosing be twee n differe nt lang uage s.
(See pa ge 8 for how to se lect lang uage) .
Automatic redial
If the phone number you are calling is busy or
your call is not answe red, you can le t your
phone ma ke up to 10 automa tic redial a ttempts.
A special re dialling success tone sounds when the
atte mpt is successful. To cance l the a uto redia lling
atte mpts just press the le ft function key.
Ne twork selection
Whe n you wish to use your phone abroa d, you
have to se lect a foreig n network. T his can be
done e ither ma nually or by le tting your te lephone
do it for you a utomatically.
In the a utomatic mode, your phone will auto-
matically try to rea ch your home network first,
then, a lterna tively to find a nother ava ilable net-
work store d in a pre ferred list ma de by you (see
pag e 30).
In the ma nual mode, the phone will always start
sea r ching for the network with which it wa s in
contact when it was switched off. If the phone
cannot locate this network it will present some
alternative networks on the display, and you can
then se lect one manually.
You can select a ny network from the list, but
your phone ca n get in contact only with co-
opera ting ne tworks (Roa ming) . The telephone ca n
ge t into contact with othe r networks but only for
eme r gency ca lls.
Your dea ler or ne twork opera tor can tell you
which networks are co-opera ting.
