Playing a tape in various
functions
You can play the tape in various functions:
• REP (Repeat Pla y) repeats the current track .
• BL SKIP (B lank Sk ip) sk ips bla nks l onger th an
8 seconds.
• ATA (Aut om ati c Tuner A ct i v a ti on) t ur ns o n the
tuner a ut omatically when f ast-winding the tape.
• MTL (Metal) lets you play a metal or CrO
2
tape.
During tape playback, press the
desired funct i on button rep eat edly
until “ON” in the display appears.

To return to normal play mode, select “OFF.”
Radio

Caution
When t uning in st at ions whi l e dr iving , use Best
Tuning Memory to prevent accidents.
* FM3 tuning range is 65 to 74 MHz (at 30 kHz step).
Storing stations

— Best Tuning Memory (BTM)
The un it selects the stat i ons with th e strong es t
sign als wit hin the s electe d band, and sto res them
in the order of their frequency.
1 Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select
the radio.
2 Press (MODE) repeated ly to se le ct the
band.
3 Press (SENS) (BTM) for 2 seconds.
A beep sounds when the setting is stored.
Notes
• If only a few stations can be received due to weak
signals, some number buttons will retain their f ormer
settings.
• When a number is indicated in the display, the unit
starts storing stations from the one currently
displayed.
