The following special characters are helpful when you
store numbers to your phone book (
see page51
). Simply
press the key once or repeatedly, and th e
following characters can be stored within the number
seq uence.
(
p
) creates a pause when a number is dialed; the
digits located to the right of the “
p
” are automati-
cally sent as touch tones after a 2.5 second pause

).

w
) creates a “wait” when a number is dial ed.

You can add as many special ch arac ters as yo u need in a
singl e number sequence. These characters can not be
entered while in mode.
Erase all (text messages)
You can erase all read text messages quickly and easily
from the text messages menu (Menu 01-1).

Fax calls
Your phone can function as a fax/modem when
c o n n ec ted to y o u r PC o r la p to p co m p u ter via th e o ptio n a l
data cable. You must also have the appropr iate fax
software installed and configured to send and receive
data or faxes.
