OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Starting the Engine
WARNING
Always proceed with the pre-ride
inspection as described in the
SAFETY INFORMATION
section
prior to operating the vehicle. Al-
ways check for proper operation
of critical controls, safety features
and mechanical components be-
fore starting.
Transmission lever must be set to
NEUTRAL.
Insert key in ignition switch and turn to
ON position.

1. Ignition key
Set the emergency engine stop switch
to the RUN position.

2. STOP position
3. RUN position
In cold weather colder than 0°C (32°F),
place choke lever in full choke position.

FULL CHOKE POSITION
Press and hold LH brake lever.
Press the engine start butto

until engine starts.
