If there is a protective film on the scale sur-
face, remove it.
Clean the scale with a soft, slightly damp
cloth and then wipe it dry.
BATTERY INSTALLATION AND
REPLACEMENT
Remove the battery compartment lid (4) and
insert a “CR2032” battery (supplied with the
unit), following the polarity.
Install battery compartment lid (4) back to
its place.
Note: If there is isolation insert in the battery
compartment, remove the battery compartment
lid (4), remove the isolation insert and install bat-
tery compartment lid (4) back to its place.
Battery replacement
When the battery is low, the symbol «Lo» will
appear on the display (6).
Open the battery compartment lid (4),
replace the «CR2032» battery with the new
one, strictly following the polarity, and close
the battery compartment lid (4).
If you do not use the scale for a long time,
remove the battery from the battery com-
partment.
WHAT IS EXCESS WEIGHT?
It is generally known that the excess weight
of the body may adversely affect a person’s
health. Excess weight can cause obesity, heart
problems, atherosclerosis and osteoporosis;
short weight may also lead to osteoporosis.
(Osteoporosis is a skeleton systemic disease
characterized by decrease of a bone mass in
relation to its volume as well as malfunction
of bone microarchitectonics and leading to
increase of brittleness of bones and risk of frac-
ture by minimal trauma or even without it).
Physical exercises and bland diet help to lose
excess weight and this scale helps to control
your weight.
It is known that at low weight muscles and tis-
sues of the body contain more water than fat,
and electric current passes through water better
than through fat. Passing weak current through
the body the scale quickly and easily calculate
the percentage of fat and water in a human body.
You can control your weight based on the results
of calculation of water and fat percentage.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Weigh yourself at one and the same time of
the day.
We recommend to measure the percentage
of fat and water in the evening before eve-
ning meal.
2-3 hours should pass after the meal.
10-12 hours should pass after intensive phys-
ical exercises.
Fat percentage in the body depends on dif-
ferent factors and can change during the day.
The results may be inaccurate when calcu-
lating fat and water percentage of children
under 10 years.
Professional sportsmen, people suffer-
ing from edema and people with nonstan-
dard body proportions can show inaccurate
results of fat and water percentage calcula-
tion.
Note: Fat and water percentage data can be cal-
culated only if personal data (sex, age, height)
are entered correctly and if you step on the scale
with bare feet.
SWITCHING THE SCALE ON
Place the scale on a flat solid surface; if the
floor is uneven or covered with carpet or rug,
the weighing accuracy may decrease.
Tap on the scale body to switch it on.
MEASUREMENT UNITS SELECTION
To select measurement units press conse-
quently the button (5) that is located next to
the battery compartment lid (4).
Measurement units are shown on the dis-
play (6):
«kg» - weight is measured in kilograms,
height is measured in centimeters;
«lb» - weight in pounds, height in feet and
inches;
«st:lb» - weight in stones and pounds, height
in feet and inches.
WEIGHT MEASUREMENT
Tap on the scale body to switch it on or touch
the «SET» button (3).
Moving symbols «8…8» will appear on the
display (6).
Wait till the symbols «0.0 kg», «0.0 lb» or
«0:0 st:lb» appear depending on the select-
ed measurement units.
