Your appliance has been designed to work for many year s. However, when y ou
finally decide to replace your old pr oduct , remember to t hink of what you can do t o
help t o prot ect the env ir onment by disposing of it at your local wast e disposal
cent re.
1) Electrical connection
- Check that the specifications of your
appliance ar e compat ible wit h t hose of
y our elect rical sy st em.
-It is v it al that your appliance is
plugged int o an earthed socket and
complies wit h the elect rical st andar ds
in force in your count ry.
Any connection error will invalidate
the guarantee.
2) Installation
-Alway s place your st eamer on a
stable, flat, heat-resist ant surface well
away fr om walls or cupboards.
-Keep it away fr om:
. any inflammable gas, object or
liquid,
. any sour ce of heat (ov en,
micr owav e, hot plate),
. any water splashes.
3) Re commendations
- Never leave the appliance within
reach of children without supervision.
The use of this appliance by young
children or severely disabled persons
m ust be supervised at all tim es.
-Your appliance is intended solely for
domest ic use only. Any commer cial
use, inappropr iate use or failur e to
comply wit h t he inst r uct ions, the
manufact urer accept s no r esponsibilit y
and the guarant ee will not apply.
- Unplug t he appliance as soon as y ou
hav e finished using it and when y ou
ar e cleaning it .
-Nev er use your appliance if it is not
working cor rect ly or if it has been
damaged. If t his happens, cont act an
appr ov ed Moulinex service cent re
(see list in t he “M oulinex ser vice“
booklet ).
- Any inter vention other than cleaning
and nor mal maint enance by the
cust omer must be car r ied out by an
appr ov ed Moulinex service cent re.
-Nev er place t he appliance, t he power
cor d or the plug in water or in any
other liquid.
- Do not allow the power cor d t o hang
down wit hin reach of children.
- The power cord m ust nev er be close
t o or in cont act with t he hot parts of
y our appliance, close to a source of
heat or r est ing on a sharp edge.
If t he power cord or the plug are
damaged, do not use y our appliance.
To avoid any r isk of danger, t hese
must be r eplaced by an approved
M oulinex ser vice centr e.
-For your own safet y, y ou should use
only t he M oulinex accessor ies and
spar e parts which are suit able for your
appliance.
- Never r un your appliance without
wat er in the t ank.
-Nev er move your appliance while it is
working.
- Before mov ing the appliance:
. unplug it ,
. allow it t o cool,
. empt y t he juice collect or.
-Nev er immerse the base in water.
- Warning: during use, t he steam
produced can cause scalding:
. handle all parts wit h an oven glov e
or a clot h,
. be careful when lift ing t he lid,
. alway s use a cooking utensil to
handle the food in the steamer.
