PTY – Program type
This radio will allow you to select the type of program required, and will search for a station broadcasting that type of
program. Press PTY button once to show the music type. Then press numbered 1-6 buttons to choose different music
types available. Press the PTY button twice to show the speech type program. Then press 1-6 button to choose the
different speech t ype program. Each number b utton will show 3 different speech p rogram for you to choose.
MASK DPI/ MASK ALL
Press and hold SEL knob for 2 seconds, the display will show “TA SEEK”. Press the knob again so that the unit will
show “MASK DPI”. Rotate the knob to toggle between “MASK DPI” and “MASK ALL” modes. Then leave the unit
idle for the mode to t ake effect . Dur ing MASK DPI mode, the unit will mask only the AF which has differ ent PI, this is
the default mode; during MASK ALL mode, the unit will mask the AF which has different PI and no RDS signal with
high field strength.
RETUNE S/L – SHORT/LONG
T his fu nct ion is to s et t he initia l du ra tion of a ut oma tic TA S ear ch. P ress a nd hold S EL knob until “ TA SEE K” is s hown
on the LCD, then press the knob to cycle through the menu selections until “RETUNE_S” is shown, rotate the SEL
knob t o choos e “ R E T UNE _ S ” or “R ETUNE _ L ”. T he defau lt is “ R E T UNE_S”. “ R E T UNE ” r efer s t o t he t ime p er iod the
unit a llows for r adio s ca n when r ecept ion is inter r up ted. “ S” repr esent s a time per iod of 30 s econds a nd “L ” repr esent s a
t ime period of 90 seconds.
