‚" This deck is not suitable for recording on CHROME (IEC II) or METAL (IEV IV) type cassettes. For recording use NORMAL type cassette (IEC I) on
which t he t abs have no t been broken.
‚" At t he very beginning and end of the tape, no recording will take place during the 7 seconds, when the leader tape passes the recorder heads.
‚" When in process of recording or playback the end of the tape is reached, the tape stops automatically and the relevant button is released.
Dynamic bass boost system
‚" For increased bass at all volume levels, press the DBBS button to boo st the low frequency tone for an emphasized bass sound.
Maintenance and care
‚" Check your batt eries regularly, o ld o r discharged bat teries sho uld be replaced. If the unit is not going to be used for so me time or
is being run exclusively on t he alt ernative power, remove t he batteries to avo id leakage and damage.
‚" Electr o nic products of this kind sho uld never be subjected t o moisture or extreme temperatures.
‚" If necessary, clean t he unit with a piece of clot h dampened with wat er o nly (be sure t he AC power co rd is disco nnected from t he
power supply).
‚" The heads and capst an are in constant co nt act with the mo ving t ape. Use a small cot t o n bud wit h alcohol or special t ape head cleaner to
clean these part s. Never touch the heads with anything metallic.
Clean the parts A, B, C shown on the picture after approximately 50 hours of last o peration or on average once a month.
‚" Open the cassette door.
‚" Press PLAY to clean the rubber pressure roller C.
‚" Press PAUSE and clean the magnetic heads A and the capstan B. Clo se the cassette door.
Erase protection
‚" To prevent accidental erasing of a cassette, simply break off the t wo plastic t abs located on the cassette tape’s rear side.
‚" When a casset te with remo ved plastic tabs is insert ed, the reco rding but ton cannot be pressed.
‚" If a casset te is t o be erased and re- reco rded at a later st age, simply cover t he holes on the cassett e where the tabs were remo ved, with a
piece of strong adhesive t ape.
CD protection
‚" When pick up the CD disc, always hold the edge of the disc, never touch the surface of the disc, it would scratch the disc surface and
may occur sound disto rtion or raise reading problem.
