‚" You may want to monitor during recording. You can adjust the sound with VOLUME control regulator. These adjustments do not affect the content of
recording.
‚" This deck is not suitable for recording on CHROME (IEC II) or METAL (IEV IV) type cassettes. For recording use NORMAL type cassette (IEC I) on
which the t abs have no t been broken.
‚" At t he very beginning and end of the tape, no recording will take place during the 7 seconds, when the leader tape passes the recorder heads.
‚" When in process of recording or playback the end of the tape is reached, the tape stops automatically and the relevant button is released.
Maintenance and care
‚" Check yo ur batt eries regularly, o ld o r discharged bat teries should be replaced. If the unit is not go ing to be used fo r some time o r
is being run exclusively o n t he alternative power, remove t he batteries to avo id leakage and damage.
‚" Electr o nic product s of this kind should never be subjected to mo isture or extreme temperatures.
‚" If necessary, clean the unit with a piece o f clo th dampened wit h water only (be sure t he AC power co rd is disco nnect ed fro m t he
power supply).
‚" The heads and capst an are in constant co ntact with the mo ving tape. Use a small cot t o n bud wit h alco hol o r special t ape head cleaner to
clean t hese parts. Never touch the heads with anyt hing met allic.
Clean the parts A, B, C shown on the picture after approximately 50 hours of last operation or on average once a month.
‚" Open the cassette door.
‚" Press PLAY to clean the rubber pressure roller C.
‚" Press PAUSE and clean the magnetic heads A and t he capst an B. Clo se the cassette door.
Erase protection
‚" To prevent accidental erasing o f a cassette, simply break off the t wo plastic t abs located on the cassette tape’s rear side.
‚" When a cassette with remo ved plastic tabs is inserted, the reco rding but ton cannot be pressed.
‚" If a casset te is t o be erased and re- reco rded at a later st age, simply co ver t he ho les on the cassett e where the tabs were remo ved, with a
piece of strong adhesive t ape.
CD protection
‚" When pick up the CD disc, always hold the edge of the disc, never t ouch the surface of the disc, it would scratch the disc surface and
may o ccur sound disto rtion or raise reading problem.
