Switching the appliance off
Disc onnect your app liance from the elec tricity sup ply
b efore carrying out any work on it.
Cleaning the appliance
! Do not use ab rasive or corrosive detergents such as
stain removers, anti-rust prod ucts, p owder deterg ents or
spong es with abrasive surfaces: these may sc ratch the
surfac e b eyond rep air.
! Never use steam cleaners or pressure cleaners on the
appliance.
• It is usually suffic ient simply to wash the hob using a
d amp sp onge and d ry it with absorb ent kitc hen roll.
• The stainless steel or enamel-c oated external p arts and
the rub b er seals may b e cleaned using a spong e that
has b een soaked in lukewarm water and neutral soap.
Use sp ecialised p roduc ts for the removal of stubb orn
stains. After c leaning , rinse well and d ry thoroughly. Do
not use ab rasive powders or c orrosive substanc es.
• The hob g rid s, b urner cap s, flame spread er ring s
and the hob burners can be removed
to make c leaning easier; wash them in hot water and
non-ab rasive d eterg ent, making sure all b urnt-on
resid ue is removed before d rying them thoroug hly.
• For hob s with elec tronic ig nition, the terminal part of the
elec tronic lighting devic es should be c leaned
freq uently and the g as outlet holes should b e c hec ked
for blockages.
• The insid e of the oven should ideally b e cleaned after
eac h use, while it is still lukewarm. Use hot water and
d etergent, then rinse well and dry with a soft c loth. Do
not use abrasive p roducts.
•
Clean the g lass part of the oven d oor using a spong e
and a non-abrasive c leaning p roduc t, then dry
thoroug hly with a soft c loth. Do not use roug h abrasive
material or sharp metal sc rap ers as these c ould
sc ratc h the surfac e and cause the g lass to c rack.
• The ac c essories c an be washed like everyd ay
c roc kery, and are even d ishwasher safe.
• Stainless steel c an b e marked b y hard water that has
b een left on the surface for a long time, or by
aggressive detergents containing phosphorus. After
c leaning , rinse well and d ry thoroug hly. Any remaining
d rop s of water should also b e dried .
The cover
If the cooker is fitted with a
g lass c over, this c over
should be cleaned using
lukewarm water. Do not use
ab rasive produc ts.
It is p ossib le to remove the
cover in order to make
cleaning the area behind
the hob easier. Open the
cover fully and pull it
upwards (
see figure
).
! Do not close the cover when the burners are alight or
when they are still hot.
Inspecting the oven seals
Chec k the d oor seals around the oven period ically. If the
seals are d amag ed , p lease c ontac t your nearest
Authorised After-sales Service Centre. We recommend
that the oven is not used until the seals have b een
rep lac ed .
Gas tap maintenance
Over time, the tap s may bec ome jammed or d ifficult to
turn. If this oc c urs, the tap must be rep laced .

Replacing the oven light bulb
1. After d isc onnec ting the oven
from the elec tricity mains, remove
the g lass lid c overing the lamp
socket (
see figure
).
2. Remove the lig ht b ulb and
rep lace it with a similar one:
voltag e 230 V, wattag e 25 W, c ap
E 14.
3. Rep lace the lid and rec onnect the oven to the electricity
sup p ly.
