Playing a tape in various
functions
You can pl ay the tape in various function s:
• REP (R epeat Play ) repeats the current track.
• BL SKIP (Blank Skip) skips blanks longer than
8 seconds.
• ATA (Automatic Tuner Activat ion) turns on t he
tuner automat ically when f ast- winding the tape.
• MTL (Metal) let s you play a metal or CrO
2
tape.
During tape playback, press the
desired funct ion button rep ea tedly
until “ON” in the display appe ars.
Function buttons
(3): REP
(5): BL SKIP
(6): ATA
(BTM): MTL
Example: ATA function
ATA function starts.
To return to normal pl ayback function, sel ect
“OFF.”
Radio
The unit can store up to 6 stations per band
(FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, an d AM 2).
Caution
When tuning in stations while driving, use Best
Tuning Me m ory to prevent accid ents.
Storing stations
automatically
— Best Tuning Memory (BTM)
The unit selects the stations with the strongest
signals with in th e se le cted band, and st or es th em
in the order of their frequency.
1 Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select
the radio.
2 Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the
band.
3 Press (BTM) for 2 se conds.
A beep s ounds whe n th e setting is st or ed.
Notes
• If only a few stations can be received due to weak
signals, some number buttons will retain their former
settings.
• When a number is indicated in the display, the unit
starts storing stations from the one currently
displayed.
