This functi on enab les you to select othe r local
stations in th e area, ev e n if they a re n ot stored on
your number buttons.
1 Press a num ber button ((1) to (6))

Receiving traffic
announcements
— TA/TP
By ac tivating the Traffic An nounceme nt (TA)
and Tra ffic Programm e (TP), you can
automatically tune i n an FM sta tion broa dcasti ng
traffic announc em ents. These settings functio n
regardless of the curren t FM program m e/source,
CD/MD; the unit switches back to the original
source when the bulletin is over.
Press (TA) repeatedl y until “TA-ON”
appears.

“TP” indicates reception of such stations, and
“TA” fl as hes during an actual traffic
announcement . Th e unit will co nt i nue
sear ching for stations avail able wi t h TP i f
“NO TP” is indicated.
To cancel all tra ffic annou ncements, select “TA-
OFF.”
Tip
You can also cancel the current announcement by
pressing (SOURCE) or (MODE).
Presetting the v olu me of traffic
announcements
You can preset the volume level of the traffic
announcements s o yo u w on’t miss hearing them.
1 Turn the volume control dial to adjust
the desired volume level.
2 Press (TA) for 2 seconds.

Receiving emergency announcements
If either AF or TA is on, the unit will switch to
emergen cy an nouncement s, if one comes in
while listening to an FM station or CD/MD.
