Playing tracks repeatedly
— Repeat Play
The disc in the main unit will re peat a track or
the entir e dis c when i t rea ches t he en d. Fo r rep eat
play, you can select:
• REP- 1 — to rep eat a t rack.
• REP- 2* — to repeat a disc.
* Available only when one or more optional CD/MD
units are connected.
During playback, press (3) (REP)
repeatedly until the desired setting
appears in the display.
Repe at Pl ay starts.
To return to normal play mode, select “REP-
OFF.”
Playing tracks in random
order
— Shuffl e Play
Yo u can select:
• SHUF-1 — to p la y the track s on the current
disc i n random or der.
• SHUF-2*

— to play the trac ks in the curr ent
optional CD (MD) unit in rand om or der.
• SHU F-ALL*

— to pla y all the tr acks in all th e
connected CD (MD ) units (includi ng this unit)
in random orde r.
*1 Av ailable only when one or more optional CD (MD)
units are connected.
*2 A v ailable only when one or more optional CD units,
or two or more optional MD units ar e connected.
During playback, press (6) (SHUF)
repeatedly until the desired setting
appears in the display.
Shu ffle Play st ar ts .
To return to normal play mode, select “SHUF-
OFF.”
Note
“SHUF-ALL” will not shuffle tracks between a CD
player and an MD player.
Labelli ng a CD
— Disc Memo (For a CD unit with the
CUSTOM FILE functio n)
You can label each disc with a custom name
(Disc Memo). You can enter up to 8 characters
for a disc. If you label a CD, you can locate the
disc by name (page 12).
1 Start playing the disc you want to
label.
2 Press (MENU), then press either side
of (DISC/PRESET) repeatedly until
“NAMEEDIT” appears.
3 Press (ENTER).
The unit will repeat the disc during the
lab el lin g procedure.
4 Enter the characters.

*1 For reverse order, press the (–) side of
(DISC/PRESET).

2 Press the (+) side of (SEEK) after
locating the desired character.
If yo u press t he (–) side of (SEEK), yo u
can move back to the left.
3 Repea t steps 1 and 2 to enter the
entire name.
5 To return to normal CD play mode,
press (ENTER).
