Safety instructions
• Please read these instructions carefully before first use. This product has been designed for domestic use only. Any commercial use,
inappropriate useorfailuretocomplywiththeinstructions, themanufactureraccepts noresponsibilityandtheguaranteewillnotapply.
• For your safety, this appliance conforms to the applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage, Electomagnetic Compatibility,
Environmental Directives, as applicable...).
• Your steam generator is an electrical appliance: it must be used in normal conditions of use. It is only designed for domestic use.
• Yourgenerator is fitted with 2 safety systems:
- a pressure release valve which, in theevent of amalfunction, releases any excess steam;
- a thermal fusetoprevent the appliancefrom overheating.
• Always plug in your steam generator:
- an electricalinstallationwith voltage between 220V and 240V.
- an earthed socket.
Connecting to thewrong voltage may cause irreparable damage to theappliance and will invalidate your guarantee.
Ifyou are using a mains extensionlead, ensure that it is correctlyrated (10A) withanearth, andis fullyextended.
• Completelyunwind thepower cord from itsstorage space before connecting to an earthed socket.
• Iftheelectricpowercordor theiron-unitisdamaged,itmustbe replaced byan ApprovedServiceCentreinorder topreventanydanger.
• Do not unplug the appliance by pullingonthe cord.
Always unplug yourappliance:
- before filling the water tank or rinsing the collector,
- before cleaning yourgenerator,
- after each use.
• The appliance mustbe used and placed on a flat, stable, heat-resistantsurface.Whenyou place the ironon the iron rest, makesure
that the surface on which you place it is stable.
• This applianceis not intendedfor use bypersons (including children)withreducedphysical,sensoryor mental capabilities, or lackof
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for theirsafety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with theappliance.
• Never leave the appliance unattended :
- when it is connected to themains,
- until it has cooled down(around1 hour).
• The soleplate and generator iron-rest can become very hotand cause burns: never touch theseparts.
Never touch the electriccords with the soleplate of the iron.
• Yourappliancegivesoff steamwhichcan cause burns.Handleyourironcarefully,particularly whenusingtheverticalsteamfunction.
Never directthe steam towards persons or animals.
• Always wait before rinsing the collector until the steam generator has cooled down and has been unplugged for at least 2 hours
before unscrewing the collector.
• While rinsing outthe boiler, never fill it directlyunder thetap.
• If youlose or damage the boilerrinse cap, have it replaced byanapproved ServiceCentre.
• Do not immerse your steam generator in water or any other liquid. Do not rinse it under a running tap.
• The appliance must not be used if it has fallen to the floor, shows evidence of damage, leaks or fails to function correctly. Never
dismantle yourappliance. To avoidany danger, have it inspected in an approved service centre.
• This appliance has been designed for domestic use only. Any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the
instructions, themanufactureracceptsnoresponsibility and theguarantee will not apply.
