7 Mobile messages
Before you can send or receive mobile messages, you may need to
subscribe to the mobile messaging service offered by your service
provider. Also, some networks may not support mobile messaging.
ABOUT MOBILE MESSAGES
A mobile message is a message in the form of text that appears on your
phones screen. You can address outgoing messages to e-mail addresses
and phone numbers. The recipient of your message typically receives it on:
A phone that supports mobile messaging.
A pager.
The Internet (through an e-mail client).
Message storage
Messages are stored in folders called Inbox, Outbox, and Saved.
Inbox: Messages (whether read or unread) that you have received
and have neither erased nor saved.
Outbox: Messages that you sent (or messages that you have
created and saved, intending to send later).
Saved: Messages that were in the Inbox or Outbox which you
have saved.
Your phone can store as many as 60 messages (memory is shared by all
folders). However, the total number of stored messages depends on message
length. If your phones memory is full when you receive a mobile message:
If the message is not an emergency message, the oldest sent
message in the Outbox folder is automatically deleted, but drafts
(unsent messages) are not deleted. If there are no sent messages
in the Outbox folder, the oldest read message in the Inbox folder
is deleted. If there are no read messages in the Inbox, No space:
message waiting or a similar message appears, prompting you to
